If fish could fly and ants could weave cobwebs, humans could travel the world with nothing in tow. No bags, backpacks, suitcases, strollers, just a sling pouch for company! But reality strikes and wow, it’s humanly impossible to go hike the world or enjoy a vacation, or even make a quick workation without baggage (literally).

Of course, there are options — for all kinds of travellers to choose their ‘partner in tow’ wisely — so much for informed choices! Yet, at times, in certain travel situations, luggage seems like a big add-on beast.

Work travel

Business travellers are back on their feet and flights and work is calling them places. For work travellers, this may also mean stepping into one meeting and then another, possibly involving tight timelines to keep up with.

In such a scenario, while moving around with luggage seems unpleasant, realistically, there is also scope for saving time on travelling from airport to hotel for a mere check-in of personal belongings or baggage.

On the way back to the airport, one has to painstakingly travel from office location to hotel and then onward to the airport. What if, all this hustle could magically convert into a smooth ride with someone else ensuring that the baggage is dropped and picked from doorstep to doorstep while business runs as usual.

After all, time is crucial, especially when one is bound to be on the go for work commitments.

Friendly Reunions

The defining moment for every kind of friendship is the decade-after reunion — who is in, who isn’t — oh yes! But why not? Whether it is a destination reunion or the home city where the relationship bloomed, travel is inevitable.

And so are the fringe effects! Does one dress up or dress down, pack for the weekend alone or extended holiday, stay over at friends’ place or a nearby hotel — oops, who is going to carry around the bags?

Reunions, as they sound, cannot be bound by time or place; breakfasts spill over into early dinners and sleepovers into brunches. Conversations are endless and the clock’s always ticking; any time saved during travel is time earned to spend with loved ones.

Senior Citizens

Travelling is fun at all ages, even more, during the golden age when most responsibilities have been zipped up and sailed off. Time is not a luxury anymore and money is seldom a constraint. One has the option of investing precious time in travelling, either with a spouse, friends, or family or getting to know strangers with like-minded genes.

With fun times ahead, and adrenaline pumping gentle and slow, carrying weight around seems like a heavy task that lets down the spirit.

How disheartening it is, to see elderly travellers maneuvering carts packed with bags around the airport. Waiting for their turn in long airport queues; counting seconds, minutes and hours, literally to delegate the weighty baggage and ease out those tired muscles.

New Parents

Travelling with infants and toddlers is the next-level championship and those who have done that would vouch for all the effort. From planning to packing to carrying around bags of endless belongings; the whole act leaves little room for deriving joy from the vacation.

Imagine if all that luggage could be off the new parents’ list of things to ‘manage’ and the energy put into dragging prams and booster chairs from one airport to another could be saved up to hold hands, share jokes and spend some ‘we time’ to make lasting memories. It is possible, absolutely! One of the best pieces of parenting advice ever, delegate and seek help when required.

Annual family celebrations

If you thought annual review meetings at work were a big thing, try attending an annual family gathering! Be it a wedding, anniversary, destination travel or a traditional festive get-together, the amount of planning and execution required is heart-filling as well as heart-aching.

Add to it the pressure of getting the holiday wardrobe right, impressing long-lost relatives while keeping one’s spirit of travel and style intact. Not an easy one, we say.

While we can’t promise a helping hand with cutting the drama, we can ensure that all those carefully packed bags are picked from your doorstep and delivered to your destination with utmost love and care.

Of course, your hands need to be doing more important things like capturing the reunion, catching up on last-minute airport shopping or curating gifts for close ones!
